She Shot at the Moon - The Quote of Your Life
If you're reading this, you're probably too late.....
I'm just playing. Lol. But if you haven't purchased my guided journal yet, you're just sleeping a little. However, you made it here so you know wassup.
After creating a journaling page on Instagram, I decided to write a guided journal.
In the journal I share a few of my life experiences beginning with my decision to attend the Illustrious Tuskegee University. In between my stories, you will find journal prompts and lined paper to start your journaling journey. People always ask me why I began journaling. The answer is simple. Writing is the best way for me to express myself. Verbally communicating hasn't been my strongest skill, but writing in my journals, poetry, and letters is where my strength lies.
I am starting this blog to take a deeper dive into my IG posts and give you a little deeper insight of my guided journal, She Shot at the Moon. For this first post, it's only right that I talk about one of the first pages in my book. I decided to put my favorite quote at the beginning of the book.
"SHOOT FOR THE MOON.
EVEN IF YOU FALL,
YOU'LL LAND AMONGST THE STARS"
I can remember the exact moment that I was introduced to this quote. My high school literature teacher, Mrs. Trudgeon was cleaning her classroom and decided to give a gift to each student. My gift was this quote in a picture frame. Over anyone else, she saw my passion for writing and always told me to start a blog. She also could see my free spirit, naming me "Most Likely to Carpe Diem".
This quote means so much to me. If you aim high towards the moon, you have no choice but to be great. You may fall, which happens quite often, but you are still having the faith and courage to go far beyond the normal. You may interpret the quote different, but that is what I get from it.
For this week's journal prompt, think of a quote of mantra that inspires you. Write about your connection to this quote and what it means to you. Place this quote around your home, in your car, on your screen saver, or wherever you can see it daily. Speak it. Remember it. Live by it.
Don't forget to check in next week for our next blog post!
This is just the beginning so feel free to give me all of your feedback and share with whomever you feel may need an extra push to start expressing theirselves through writing.
Thank you for starting your journaling journey with me!
